How to clean the coils of your refrigerator

There is a special cleaning brush which looks like a bottle cleaning brush but is tapered. A typical refrigerator with the coils facing the wall the procedure is as follows-:

  • Unplug refrigerator and move it away from the wall.
  • Use a coil brush to wipe dust etc from the coils.
  • Push refrigerator back into place, being careful not to run over any cords.
  • Vacuum any dust etc from the floor.
  • Plug the refrigerator back in and turn on.

Wipe dust, dirt, pet hair, etc. from the condenser coils with a coil brush. Sweep or vacuum up any dirt, dust, pet hair, etc. on the floor. Push refrigerator back into place, being careful not to run over any cords or tubing. Plug refrigerator back in to the wall receptacle.
